Stifel to sell 1.2 million shares in offering

Stifel Financial Corp. said Wednesday it plans to launch a public offering of 1.2 million shares of common stock. According to a regulatory filing, the company plans to use the proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes. The company will have 29.8 million shares outstanding after the offering.
